NIST: Protect

The Protect core function of the NIST framework focuses on implementing security measures to reduce an organization’s vulnerabilities and protect its critical systems, information and processes from cyber threats. This includes:

  • Implementing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, access control, and the use of anti-malware software.
