Prins Maasdijk optimises its warehouse with CaptureTech Connect warehouse software and barcode scanning
Prins Maasdijk is a technical service provider specialising in forklifts, intralogistics and internal transport solutions, and is the importer and distributor of Kubota diesel engines. The company supplies, rents, repairs, maintains and inspects a wide range of material handling equipment, including electric pallet trucks, forklifts, order pickers, stackers and warehouse trucks. At its own engineering workshop, Prins manufactures rough-terrain forklifts for the horticultural and events industries.
The warehouse process
Prins Maasdijk faced a significant challenge in its central warehouse. “We were still working with paper pick lists,” says Machel. “That led to bottlenecks, particularly when processing the serial numbers of our diesel engines and handling duplicate orders.”
The team occasionally encountered errors during the picking process, resulting in unnecessary costs and lost time. “Picking errors did occur, and they had a direct impact on customer satisfaction,” explains Machel. It was clear that a more efficient solution was needed, one that would improve the reliability and accuracy of their warehouse operations.
The transition from Navision to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provided the ideal opportunity to introduce barcode scanning in the warehouse.

The transition from paper-based processes to a digital system marked a major step forward for Prins Maasdijk. With the new barcode scanners and software in place, employees can now process data in real time and fulfil orders with a high degree of accuracy. “The system makes it easy to track serial numbers and orders, which has helped us significantly reduce errors,” says Machel. The results were quick to follow. Since implementing CaptureTech’s solution, duplicate orders and picking errors have almost completely disappeared. “We’ve seen a significant improvement in our warehouse operations. We’re not only working faster, but also much more accurately,” says Machel. “It has helped us serve our customers better while reducing our operational costs.”
