The CW9166 features integrated, easy-to-use security technologies to provide a secure connection for both employees and guests. Advanced security features such as AES hardware-based encryption and enterprise authentication with 802.1X and Active Directory integration provide wire-like security while still being easy to configure. CW9166 also supports 192-bit encryption and WPA3 for additional wireless network security.

Isolate from guest users with one click for secure Internet access for visitors. PCI compliance reports verify network settings against PCI requirements to simplify secure retail deployments.

Special scan radio

You don’t have to choose between wireless security (AirMarshal), advanced RF analytics and serving customer data. A dedicated scan radio means that all functions take place in real-time, without any impact on traffic or throughput from the Access Point.

The CW9166’s dedicated tri-band scan radio continuously monitors the environment, characterizes RF interference and keeps wireless threats such as rogue access points in check. Containment is only possible in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies because 6 GHz requires Protected Management Frames (PMF).

Integration of EMM & MDM

Meraki Systems Manager naturally integrates with the CW9166 to provide automatic, context-aware security. System Manager’s self-service enrollment helps deploy MDM quickly without installing additional equipment and then dynamically link firewall and traffic shaping policies to client attitudes.
